1: Lake Langano.
We fly to Lake Langano: a beautiful
lake set against the backdrop of the
Arsi Mountains which soar 4,000 metres
above the lake shores.
1 overnight Bishangari Lodge
Days 2,3,4: The
2400 sq. km Bale Mountains National
Park, is the largest area of Afro-alpine
habitat in the whole of Africa. It
is the best place to see Ethiopia's
endemic mammals and birds and offers
unbeatable mountain walking and a
chance to see Mountain Nyala..
3 overnights Goba Wabe Shabelle
Hotel
Days 5,6: Sodere
to search for Hamadryas Baboon, Sommering
Gazelle and Wild Ass along the banks
of the adjacent Awash River. Good
birding with some 9 endemics to be
seen in the grounds.
2 o/n Sodere Wabe Shabelle
Hotel.
Day 7: Depart
Drive back to Addis Ababa.
