Day
1: Kigali (MUST BE
A WEDNESDAY OR A SATURDAY)
We fly from Kigali to Kigoma. On arrival
in Kigoma guests are greeted by an Origins
representative and set off for a 90
minute boat ride to Gombe Stream National
Park and our camp on the shores of Lake
Tanganyika.

Days 2,3: Lake Tanganyika
After an early breakfast we begin
our search for these agile and highly
mobile primates. We start at the area
where the Chimpanzees nested the previous
night and then track from there onwards.
Part of the thrill as you walk in
the thick forest tracking the Chimpanzees,
is the scenery and sounds of birds,
insects, monkeys and other inhabitants
of the forest.
We go Chimpanzee tracking each morning and come back for lunch. In the afternoon guests have the option of either going into the forest for another attempt at Chimpanzee tracking or a choice of other activities including walking on the beach, swimming, fishing and Snorkeling. Visits to local fishing villages close to the Park are easily arranged for a first hand experience of a typical African lakeside village.
2 overnights Mitumba Permanent
Tented Camp, Lake Tanganyika
Day 4: Depart
We return to Kigoma by boat in time
to catch the Origins high speed twin
engine charter flight to Nairobi,
Kilimanjaro or Dar-es-Salaam.
