1 Nairobi
You will be met by an Origins Safaris
representative and transferred to your
hotel. Optional visit to the National
Museum of Kenya: its fascinating bird
collection and formidable array of fossils
and other exhibits and artifacts make
the museum well worth a visit.

2 Mount Kenya
Today you set off on safari after
a hearty breakfast for the drive to
the foothills of Mt Kenya. You arrive
in time for lunch followed by an afternoon's
birdwalk through the riverine forests.

Day 3 Naro Moru
An early breakfast is followed by
a morning drive across the lush afro-alpine
moorlands to Naro Moru at the base
of Mt Kenya, a popular starting point
for climbers and trail hikers. It
is set in a lush landscape and the
area attracts many bird species.

4, 5 Lake Nakuru National Park
After an excellent breakfast you set
off 'downhill' towards the Rift Valley
floor and the famous Lake Nakuru.
Of the world population of 5 million
flamingos, 3 million thrive on The
Great Rift Valley soda lakes. On our
second day we drive across to the
far end of Lake Nakuru National Park
with a picnic lunch for a full day’s
uninterrupted birding in this fascinating
eco-system, renowned for its birdlife
and as one of Kenya’s most successful
Rhino Sanctuaries.

6, 7 Lakes Baringo & Bogoria
We leave after an early breakfast
for a drive through the Great Rift
Valley to Lake Baringo. The walks
here take you through amazing volcanic
landscapes and a rich habitat full
of birdlife. On your second day you
take the road for a short trip to
spend the day viewing the bird species
and other wildlife which frequents
the alkaline lake and hot springs
of Lake Bogoria.

8-10 Kakamega Rainforest
We leave after an early breakfast
for a full day’s scenic drive
over the Tugen Hills, through the
Kerio Valley and Serikwa plateau and
finally onto Kakamega Forest. We stay
at Rondo Retreat just inside the Forest.
Originally a retreat for missionaries,
this delightful haven is now open
to other visitors: the peaceful gardens
are an ornithologist's dream, alive
with different species of birds. We
spend our days exploring Kakamega
Forest National Reserve.
3 overnights Rondo Retreat

11-13 Maasai Mara
We leave Kakamega after an early breakfast
for a scenic drive past Lake Victoria
and onto the north west boundary of
Kenya's famous Maasai Mara National
Reserve. We spend our days driving
or walking in this amazing eco-system
which borders Tanzania’s Serengeti
Reserve.

14: Nairobi & Depart
After an early breakfast & morning game drive, return to Nairobi via the Rift Valley. Alternatively book a single flight Mara/Nairobi, departing 1100, arriving 1215.
